Honeydew

I removed the string that I have tied to the 'neck' of the smaller honeydew today..... so now it is resting completely on the cradle.....
I realised that there are many budding honeydews but they are not growing in size.. wondering why again??? I googled yesterday with regards to growing pumpkin.. I learned that if the bees are unable to do the work of pollination, it is possible to do hand pollination. If the female flower of the pumpkin is not pollinated with the span of a few days when the flowers open, the ovary of the female flower will fall off.... I guess maybe it is the same for my honeydews... maybe it is not pollinated, that's why it is not growing .... So, for my pumpkins next time, I will know what to do.... it is so interesting indeed....always got new things to learn about how nature works......
