Kang Kong

As the kang kong flowers, the leaves are getting tough to eat... Will clear this plot after I am back .. I guess just in time for me to harvest all the seeds that I can possibly find... each pod, I realised, yield about 4-5 seeds!

Brinjal

Preparing my brinjals for my long absence by trimming off its leaves and certain branches.. It is just hard to maintain with its 'tresses' as it is always infested with all types of bugs!! Hope they survive! If they don't, I will just clear this plot and grow something else...

Winter Melon

My 2nd batch of winter melon is flowering (the first batch was unsuccessful!)... Hopefully I can harvest at least 1!!

Bittergourd

Sigh, after harvesting 1 tiny bittergourd, I haven't seen another one for months!! Hopefully this will come to fruition...

Local Cucumber - Twins!

First time I see twin cucumbers!! Too bad I will not be around to witness its growth!!

Old Cucumber

Colour turning to yellowish but the shapes of all my Old Cucumbers so far are super odd!! Fat on top and super thin at the bottom! Wonder what is causing it to be like this??? I really need to learn from experienced farmers!!

Local Cucumber

My 2nd decent harvest..... BUT, taste bitter! Not sure if it is because it is grown next to the Bittergourd... The first one taste sweet but this is bitter!

Chye Sim

Looking real good without the slugs and snails!! Envy of my neighbour! LOL... Guess they will be BIG by the time I get back...

Super Strong Winds!

It toppled my glass gem corn plants!! Aiya... either that, or my glass gem corn plants' stems are super weak!! Sigh... Wonder how they are going to hold the fruit if they are so weak???? Hmmm..... maybe not a good sign...

Passion Fruit Blossom

My very first blossom from the passion fruit vine that was grown from seed! Hopefully it will turn into a fruit when I get back from my long year end holiday!!

Lemongrass

'Hairs' grown back after the trim last week!

Potted Chilli Padi

Both are doing better in pots than on the plot!! Green leaves starting to appear! Good! I managed to salvage them...Mulched them with painstakingly chopped tree branches!! Hopefully they will survive my long absence starting on Monday!!

Goji

My sole remaining goji grown from seed!! Pathetically scrawny looking!! LOL

Any Idea?

Any idea what this plant is? My helper says it is blueberry! LOL... blueberry is not a climber yo! Not sure whether I should weed it off!!

My Bangala Gardener

LOL... decided to give him some 'airtime' for helping me with my gardening!!
He gave me 2 chilli plants that popped out within the compound of my condo! Nice and very big plants! They grow so well on their own!

Bayam Green

Aiyo... look pathetic right?!

Long Bean Green

Another lot of long bean green making its way up to the trellis!

Corn - Glass Gem

Stem is still weak as they swayed with the strong wind!

Longan Seedling

1 longan seedling popped out of nowhere in my herbs box! Aiya, I just can't bear to weed it out!! Hmmmmm....

Baby Grasshoppers!

Spotted so many baby grasshoppers on the leaves of my transplanted brinjal! At least 10 of them!!

Herbs Box

My herbs (lemon balm, sage & parsley) are doing better in the styrofoam box than on the ground.... Good!

Chilli Padi

Removed 2 of my chilli padi plants (those bigger ones) from my plot as they are not doing well at all.... turning botak... putting them into the pot and praying that they will be revived!

Ba Long Long

Bought this for $15! Already have fruits! LOL.... I like ba long long for its tardiness! Yummy Removed my brinjals to plant this..... hopefully it will settle well!

Mango

Bought a small mango tree yesterday at the nursery! $18 per pot. I like my fruit trees to be small (easy to pick & maintain la) so I always asked the gardener for the same. Gardener at the nursery said it will take approx 6 months before it will flower... dunno true or not... he bluffed me before on my first passion fruit vine...
Transplanted to my plot!! Under a I-think-is-sunny plot! Gardener says mango tree needs a lot of sunshine..

Capsicum Seedlings

Sprouted after weeks! They look so good now in my balcony but I guess they will not be so when I transplant them to the plot!!

Tomato

Split!!! Aiya...

Passion Fruit

My 2nd fastest growing passion fruit vine is bearing blossoms! This is grown from seed... not too bad .. about 6 months or so? Time flies, can't recall! LOL
I have 5 plots growing passion fruit.. very soon, I will have plenty of passion fruits to harvest! This is the latest plot - this passion fruit vine grew by itself!! It just popped out of the soil and I left it as it is.....
I am getting lazy these days... thinking of growing plants that are maintenance free!! LOL

Old Cucumber

Darned! An odd shaped Old Cucumber!

Potted Brinjal

Think it is adapting well as new leaves are appearing... Plants are just so resilient!

Harvest Today 8 Dec

Spring Onion

Breaking through the ground....As I did not bury my last lot deep enough, most of them are exposed after the incessant rain! Learned another lesson in growing spring onion!

Chilli Padi

Looked so yummy!

Lemongrass

My gardener pal suggested that I chop off the 'locks' of my lemongrass to promote better growth! Just did that and I used the leaves of the lemongrass as mulch for my fig and papaya and long beans! No waste! The lemongrass smells so nice!

Grapevine

Trellis is 90% done!
Just waiting for the grapevine to make its way up!

Dragonfruit - Stem Cut

The dragonfruit stem cut from Hillview has finally shown signs of life!! It has grown another segment!
BUT, the dragonfruit stem cut is being overwhelmed by the pandan leave & lime plants!! Sigh....

Harvest Today 5 Dec

Trellis - Grapevine

Built another trellis for the grapevine to climb on! Half done so I would need to get it done by tomorrow!! I hope my neighbours will not be unhappy with me for encroaching into their overhead spaces!! LOL

Fig

My transplanted fig has grown to twice its original size now... I wonder when should I start to trim its head? I want to keep it short and stunted as I do not want it to grow into a big tree!! LOL
