Pumpkin

Another vine of my pumpkin plant producing female flower! I hope it is successful because I did not really get to pollinate it myself. There isn't a male flower in the same vine. I had to pluck a male from my neighbour's vine. But by the time I wanted to pollinate, the flower had closed?! Hmmm

UREA and My Potted Small Lime

Well, I applied UREA a couple of times to ALL of my lime plants (big and small limes).... ONLY this pot of small limes are flowering and fruiting....

Kang Kong Harvest

Harvested my kang kong for mommy as I have no kitchen to cook it for the now! LOL

Self Watering Container

Beans consume a lot of water and under such intense heat these days, my potted beans drenched out very fast. So I decided to try out self watering container. I poke tiny holes (2 of them) at the bottom of the bottle. Initially I poke only 1 hole and capped the top. The next day, I realised that no water is getting out of the hole!! So decided to poke another tiny hole today... But no water dripped out again... Then I realised it is the cap of the bottle! Haha... I adjusted the screw cap until little drips of water come out of the bottle. Shall see if it works tomorrow!

Banana Harvest

Singlehandedly harvested my big bunch of bananas!! What a task! The total weight was perhaps 10kg?????
A total of 8 fans of them .....
And this is the 2nd largest fan of all....
It was not easy to divide them up! Carrying them in 1 go is impossible!! LOL.... Distributed them to my estate cleaners, neighbours and mommy! Keeping a small bunch for myself.....

Big Red Chilli

My biggest haul of big red chillies!
From my personal experience in growing big red chillies, I find they thrive well with mulching and chicken poo!

Pumpkin Vine

I think pumpkin vine (or in fact perhaps any other vines) can be grown via stem cutting! Accidental discovery! This pumpkin vine that I have that gave me 2 pumpkins so far, the main stem (where the seed sprouted from) died off. However, there is an offshoot of the main vine that seems to have rooted itself and it is producing more vines out of its own! I spotted a female flower growing and I hope it will flower!

Chiku

Finally it ripened!! It was a super long wait!

Grafting - Failure!

My first grafting experiment failed big time! :-( .... Not sure of reason.. Gotta try again!

Passion Vine - Seed to Fruit

It takes about 9 months from seed to fruit! Always happy when I see the first fruit setting!

Cut Flowers - Hibiscus

My hibiscus is growing verociously! Decided to cut a few stalks and used as cut flowers at home! Beautiful!

Multi Colours - Periwinkle

They don't attract bees to my garden but they just look so pretty and brightens up my day!

My 4th Bunch Of Banana

Abundance!

Big Chilli

I seem to notice that my Big Chilli plants love chicken poo! Every time I put in some chicken poo, it will sprout new leaves and flower buds.

Stem Cut Rose

I trimmed the mother Rose plant and plonked the stalks into a pot of soil. Remained dormant for weeks and yesterday saw buds?
No need to stick into a potato first! LOL

Sweet Basil

Huge leaves of my Sweet Basil

Portulaca

They are attracting more bees to my garden. Spotted 3 little bees this morning... Woohoo.. now I need to grow more of them so I have more bees to pollinate. Single petal ones attracts more bees than the multi petal ones!

Mango Tree

Harvested all my mangoes since last week... Still a few left in fridge for me to eat! Yum.... Time to trim the tree.. It is super tall now (over 2m) ...

Blooming Rose

Another one! So pretty and elegant!

Sweet Basil

Ready for picking! Glad that they are growing so well on its own..

Kang Kong

Dry weather for the past few days... soil is shrivelling up! Gotta to mulch them with some banana leaves to keep the soil a little moist. They should be ready for picking next week!

Ripening Mulberries

Picking them off the tree and eating them! Heavenly!

Pumpkin Day 14

Stem Cut Okra

My original lot of okras has grown super tall so decided to trim them to 1/3 of its height. The top section, I just plonked to the styrofoam box and they are growing :-) ... So I am going to have double the harvest now? :-))
