Brinjal

My brinjal seedlings finally appear! It took much longer than the tomato seeds... about 5-6 days! The tomato seeds took about half the time....I thought they are never gonna sprout! Great that they are...!

I am going to grow them next to my chilli padi... I read that tomatoes are not to be grown on the same plot as brinjal.... As my tomato plants died (from bacteria wilt, I think!), so brinjal is most likely going to be affected in the same way. So to play safe, I am going to plant them next to my chilli padi... However, I have 6 seedlings... I wonder what am I going to do with the excess as there isn't enough space to accommodate so many! Perhaps I will giveaway...... This is where my seeds are from.

I like to eat anything with belacan.. So looking forward to self picked brinjal cooked in belacan! yum yum yum!
