The watermelon fruitlet has grown slightly bigger today... The fruit is pointed upwards when it is flowering and when pollinated, it will slowly move downwards.. I hope they are successful and will grow to become a big watermelon next month!
The other 2 hand pollinated ones from yesterday:
The 2nd one is covered with aphids... that area of the watermelon plot is diseased! Sigh.... I gotta spray my organic insecticide tomorrow. It seems that the milk concoction doesn't work on them.. not even the marigold flowers.... I hope the aphids do not affect the whole plot!
