Capsicum

Another lot of capsicum planted by my helper! They are infested with white flies (yet again!)... Sprayed some natural pesticide & I hope it will help a little! Capsicums are so hard to grow! The first batch of mine didn't grow well at all and I had to remove them all. I hope this time round, it will be better!

Cucumbers

Another cucumber in the making, I hope! There are more female flowers than male flowers in my case, whereas usually it is the other way round. I have been hand pollinating them with the pathetic number of male flowers for the past few mornings... Some were successful while some were not... Sigh!

Thai Basil

One of my Thai Basil bush is going to flower! I gotta trim them down a little tomorrow as they have grown too bushy! They grow so well,despite the little care that I gave them!

Green Bayam

My green bayam is finally shows signs of life by turning a bit more greenish ever since I moved them to the plot! They are like colourless when they were in the planter box!!

Chilli Padi

This chilli padi plant seems to be doing better these days.. lesser of those black aphids on their leaves and lesser white flies too. I hope it is really good riddance to both pests la!

Watermelon

Tidied up my watermelon plot yesterday morning.... Traced the plant that gave me the mini watermelon that day - cleared off all its dried up stalks and leaves... So now I am left with only 1 watermelon plant in the plot. Hand pollinated a female flower again yesterday.... I sure hope it will be successful... somehow, not easy to hand pollinate them.... Letting this stalk run over to the neighbouring plot instead of climbing.. see if it helps!

Harvest today

2 stalks of green bayam, 3 stalks of red bayam, 3 okras! The longest green okra is from my neighbour! Somehow, that variety produces super long okra!

Honeydew

My honeydew plant is producing its first female flower!

Bittergourd

Dunno why but my bittergourd plant seems like dying off this morning!!! Still scratching my head as to what is happening?

Tomato Seedlings

Planted another box of tomato yesterday morning... They look so green this morning. Probably the soil is very fertile! I buried some kitchen garbage into the soil months ago and left it ferment. I hope all 3 will grow well!

French Bean

After I trimmed off all the leaves, some of the stem of the plant died off. After tidying up the plants, finally, it is showing some form of life again. Flowers are once again appearing! Whew! There are still aphids on the underside of the leaves but they are more controllable now then before. I hope they will do better this time round.

Chiku

My chiku growing new shoots... It look so good now! Finally, after a long 3 months wait! After the flower, it will take another couple of months for the fruit to ripen.

Harvest today

Harvested a sizeable cucumber (my first!) and 2 okras today! The cucumber is pretty heavy, which means it is super juicy! Looking forward to eating it!

Watermelon

Harvested my mini watermelon this morning as the stalk has turned somewhat brown.... According to what I learned from You Tube, watermelons are ready for harvest when the tendrils next to the watermelon has turned brown and died off. Here's the inside of my watermelon! The smell of the fresh watermelon when I cut the watermelon! It taste sweet.. not as sweet as those that you can buy from the market! But fresh watermelon! First time I have ever tasted!! Hand pollinated another female flower this morning. I sure hope it will be successful!!

Pineapple

My pineapples are currently overwhelmed by the spring onions!! Spring onions almost ready for harvest. This lot grow super fast!

Okra - deformed

Sometimes, okra does not formed properly.... this one is already super 'lao' before I can even harvest it!

Marigold

Still standing tall! Think it is going to work! Stem cut a few more this morning...

Roselle seeding

Transplanted my roselle seedling away from big sister... it has been that size since I transplanted into the plot!!! Aiyo... hopefully it will grow bigger in this new place!

Di Huang Miao

My di huang miao is about the only vegetable that is growing really well and I have been harvesting consistently...

More red bayams

Neighbours didn't want his red bayams so took some of them and planted next to the long beans and okras...red bayams look so cute!!

Green Bayam

2 of my green bayam has grown really big now. Due to the heavy rain the day before, they are now soaked in dirt!

Marigold - Propagation

This morning, I discovered something interesting. While trimming my pots of marigold, I saw what looks like 'root's coming out from the stem of the marigold plant!! So I cut some of those stalks with 'roots' and transplanted them into the plot. I hope it works!!

Cucumbers

My 1st cucumber has grown so much bigger this morning and its odd shape has been rectified! The horizontal one has grown slightly bigger today too.

Red Okra

My red okra is towering above all the green okras! I think it is because of the booster that I added to the soil next to the red okras!! Guess I need to put some in the middle to boost the growth for the green ones too!

Chiku

Finally, after so many months, I think my chiku tree is going to produce flowers!

Cherry Tomatoes

At least 20 in the making.... So good to see them producing flowers and then fruit!

Brinjal plot

Brinjal plot .... there are at least 5 brinjals in the making...So far, my brinjal plants are the most productive - giving me harvest consistently... brinjals are not easy to sprout and they grow rather slowly. But once they mature, it is quite easy to grow them (if there are no irritating aphids & white flies around!)

Passion fruit

It is growing furiously but not a single flower in sight yet though I have added some booster weeks ago!

Marigold

Due to the heavy rain yesterday, most of my plants are like drooping, including my marigolds!

Cucumber - In the making!

Yup, spotted 1 in the making .. but growing in an odd shape (top big and bottom small)! Another one growing horizontally instead of hanging...

Winged beans

Still no fruit in sight! Sigh. Decided to chop off all the leaves yesterday morning to see if I can control the aphids population! The other winged bean is starting to spread its wings. I hope this one will give me some harvest!

Sweet Potato (Purple Variety)

Got this sweet potato (purple variety) from my neighbour this morning and grew it in the sunflower plot. The leaves do not taste as nice as the normal sweet potato. I hope they grow well there as the soil is a bit hard!
