Tilling the plots

I tilled 2 more plots today... 1 bigger than the other .. the big one will house the passion fruit while the small one - gotta think of what to grow there... As for my white radishes, I have decided to grow them in a big plastic container!! Tonnes of farming work to do BUT my business work is piling up such that I have no time to update this blog except for these 2 updates today..... sigh.....

Winged Bean Surprise!

Today I discovered that one of the 2 winged bean that I sowed directly next to the pumpkin has sprouted!!! Wow, so now I have 2 winged bean plants.... gotta plant them together and build a trellis to hold them... oh dear, more trellis work to be done this week.....

Tilling another plot!

I think I am somehow addicted to tilling new plots! Yesterday, I started to till another plot of land... Thought of growing white radishes..... Also, I am transplanting some passion fruit branches that my neighbour gave me the other day.... So, need more space to grow them...... Tilling is tiring work but it is definitely good exercise for my tummy and my arms... It is super satisfying too when I managed to pull out the roots of the palm!!! This is the plot as of today.. more work needs to be done... hopefully I can get 2 plots out of this area....... This is the roots that I need to pull out !!! Super tough... I hope my changkol can survive....!

Neighbour's cucumbers

Look!! Super jealous.... I think my neighbour really got green fingers!! His crops just grow so well!!!

Reformed Old Plots

The 2 old plots that were 'reformed' 2 days ago... they survived the heavy rain yesterday afternoon!! Thank God!

Xiao Bai Cai

My xiao bai cai seedlings have been in the egg container for at least a week now! They sprouted quite fast... I am in the midst of getting ready the styrofoam box to plant them.... I punched holes underneath the box yesterday... now is just filling up with soil & compost and then they are ready for the seedlings!! I guess they will take about 30 days too to grow to harvest - using my chye sim as a guide..... So by end March, they should be ready for eating... Yum yum.... can't wait...!

Watermelon seed sprouted

My watermelon seeds sprouted too yesterday... I sowed on 15 Feb and they both sprouted on 18 Feb... Only took 4 days?? Seems like a lifetime to me :-) I gotta set up the plot too for my watermelons.... wow, more work coming up for me for the rest of this week!
