Oh mine! My roselle plant is still so tiny after almost 1 month of planting! Need to get in some fertilizers!

How To Tell If Pumpkin Is Ripe For Picking?

Well, I am not sure so I googled! One of the website says: a) If the pumpkin sounds hollow when you give it a slap, then it is ripe b) Use a fingernail to to gently puncture the skin, if it is hard then it is ripe c) When the stem above the pumpkin turns hard, it is time to pick! Wow, I need to try it tomorrow! :-) It was pollinated on 3 June so barely 1.5 weeks! Wow, it grows fast!

Too Much Rain!!

My garden is soaked with rain!! I hope my growing papaya can survive the avalanche of water!! Argh..... I am not sowing any seeds under this kind of bad weather! Woes of an urban farmer......

Honey Dew

This plant grew from kitchen garbage! Look, there are so many but they are all so tiny!! The biggest is the size of an apple! LOL

Japanese Rose

My Japanese Rose that I picked from Maldives are doing great!! Beautiful blooms! Hope they grow taller soon so that I can pick them and mix them with the other colours that I have to make a pot of multi coloured blooms!

Banana

My 3rd bunch of bananas!! Bananas are easy to grow. When the time is right, they will fruit! LOL.. No need to crack my head why why why!

Guava

I do not know what makes it tick!! As long as it is consistently flowering & fruiting, I am happy. But of course, it is always good to know what works for them! I am going to attend a gardening course which hopefully will let me know the what, why, how!

Pumpkin

My pumpkin which was pollinated by my neighbour during my absence grew quite big but the shape is pretty odd!

Big Green Lime - Stem Cut

Out of the so many air layered big green lime, there is this one plant that did not grow roots. Not sure of the reason why it didn't grow any roots. I decided to just plonk to some soil and wait out. Glad that it finally grew new shoots which could mean that it did survive! LOL

Chives

The bunch of chives gifted to me by another fellow gardener is growing pretty well! This seems like a different variety. This one is more solid!

Good To Be Back!

Good to be back but sad to see my garden in a mess! LOL.. weeds over run. Some plants doing ok while others withered off! Saw 2 pots of discarded roses at the Bin Centre and picked up 1 pot! I am not sure where I can grow them yet! Gotta re do my plots! I realised that it is not about growing many things but growing few things well!! :-)

Mangoes

Many of the tiny mangoes dropped off. Lucky still got at least 10 of them hanging on the branches! 2 more months to go!

Moringa Stem Cut

The moringa stem cut has finally rooted.

Figlet!

Finally spotted a tiny figlet in one of my many figs plants! This plant is the least expected to produce a fig as I did not pay as much attention to it as my other fig plants! Still clueless why it is producing a fig. I sure hope it stays!
