Cantonese Yao Mak vegetable... Not sure what's its english name!! Flowering! Seeds collection again! This vegetable is a little bitter so I am not exactly a fan of it! I grew them because it was given by my neighbour! LOL

Small Lime

I inherited a small lime tree from my mom! Woohoo... I get free supply of small lime for my chilli paste now!

Japanese Cucumber

Harvested my 2nd japanese cucumber! At least it is a straight one though it is shorter than usual! LOL

Blue Butterfly Pea Seedlings

Moved 3 to the pot in the garden. Built a wigwam trellis - hopefully they will climb beautifully on this trellis and not wonder around.

Grapevine

Finally did some trimmings of my grapevine - removed quite a fair bit of the stem and the leaves that are not doing too well. Now, it looks more decent. Will use my HB-101 on it this week! Hoping it will produce some fruits for me soon!

Kiwi

My one & only kiwi is starting to twirl... Need to build a trellis soon so that it can start to climb.

Baby Fig!

Oh my goodness! My helper told me there are 2 baby figs in the fig plant that she grew from seed!! I almost wanted to ask her to chop off this one as the GC group said from seed, very difficult to fruit!! Thank God! So now I am hopeful the one on the ground will fruit - I just have to stop chopping off its stem from now on! LOL

More Hanging Planters!

Bought 3 more hanging planters yesterday and set them up this morning... Increasing my growing space!

HB-101

Someone recommended this solution as a natural plant booster! Tried today at my lime tree and chillies as they appear quite listless. Spray only once a week. Hopefully it will help! Will update!

Lettuce

After I picked some of the leaves, they have grown more yet again! So good to grow lettuce! I have been watering them with seaweed solution. Wondering if that's helping it to flourish.

Lime or Lemon?

This lime or lemon is a discarded tree in a pot by a moving-out-of-estate neighbour. It was not doing very well in the pot so I moved it to the ground. Now there are new shoots growing and glad that it is coming back alive! I hope it is a lemon as I would like to have a lemon tree in the garden!

I find basils seem to grow much better when they are mulched! Less susceptible to pests!

My mango tree has new growth spurts but no flowers. Wondering why.. those trees along roadside is flowering now. Hmmm....

Chopped off the locks of my kang kong for dinner today! It does seem a lot!!!

Can harvest some of the stalks of leaves... but not enough to make a meal yet! Or can pick leaves for soup noodles! That sounds better!

Harvest

Harvested some lettuce for my meals! Did not pull up the whole plant (there are 2 of them) but just picked the leaves... They will continue to produce more leaves for picking!

Also harvested my odd shaped cucumber! My very first Japanese Cucumber though! Have been growing the local ones so far!

Recycled Container

Yesterday bought a planter holder for about $1.80! Testing to see if I can hang something against the railings so that I can increase my planting space! Glad that it fits in nicely. I picked up this container and it fits in nicely in the planter holder! Plonked in a just-sprouted-winged bean seedling. Shall see how well it can grow!

Sowed some seeds for this variety of eggplant! *keeping my fingers crossed* eggplants are difficult to sprout!

Indonesian Sweet Potato

They have expanded and concurred the area where I used to grow the purple sweet potatoes......

Must try the leaves when the plot grows thicker!
