Wild Variety of Passion Fruit
The seedlings just keep popping up! If anyone interested to grow, please let me know as I have plenty to spare!
Chye Sim
My chye sim in the box is doing pretty well, cos there are no slugs and snails there!
Those that I planted on the ground 2 weeks ago, half of them are already eaten up!
Kailan
My Chinese Kale has grown pretty huge now! But there are 2 of them so I am not sure what I should do with it....Kailan is chinese kale! Maybe I will just pick the leaves for my juicing.... since kale (the ang mo version) is a superfood and often used in juicing regimen.
My New Natural Pesticide!
Decided to use my chilli padi (I have plenty in the garden!) as a pesticide!! Definitely stinging to my eyes! I think it works on thrips (sp?) that is affecting my herbs... I used it twice and it seems to reduce infestation. I guess I just need to do it everyday to keep them away!
Cucumber Harvest
Harvested my last cucumber on the vine! In fact, it is the only cucumber in one of my cucumber plant.... Guess it is bad weather as my cucumber plants are definitely not doing well.

Snail Buster!
Yup I think the natural snail buster is quite good! My 'pop pop' plant is still alive and kicking! My first one was eaten up by snails at exactly the same spot! You can still see plenty in the picture!

Passion Fruit Wrap
Taking no more chances with my developing passion fruits!! Silly backside piercing bug destroyed most of my last batch of passion fruits! Argh
This wrap is not as good as my other plastic one... this one clings to the fruit when it is wet while the other type provides more air to the inside!

Pineapple Harvest
Harvested another pineapple - it is not ripe yet but just because it has been ripped off due to the heavy weight! Sure hope that it will ripen on its own!
This pot of pineapple plant - have harvested its pineapple a couple of months back and was told to leave the plant alone and let it grow offshoots. The offshoots will produce a new pineapple faster than the one that is grown from the pineapple top. Finally, I saw 2 offshoots today! Now I gotta figure out how to remove the offshoots as the mother plant is too torny to handle!

Long Beans and 'Pop Pop'
Planted these 2 together this morning! I hope they can survive the compost soil! The earlier 'pop pop' plant that I plonked to the ground was eaten up by the snails!! argh... hate them...
Fig - Stem Cut
My 2 fig stem cut is finally shows some decent rootings after 1 week in the water! But the leaves are dying off.... But as long as the roots are coming, I guess they will be okay!

Sweet Potato
I have 2 sweet potato plots. Both of them are running wild!! I am very hesitant to tidy them as I am scared of seeing worms in the midst of it... The unknown freaks me! LOL
Cucumber
I think this cucumber is going to be successful! I pollinated it twice in the morning using different flowers! It looks decent compared to my other 2...

Chye Sim Seedlings
This whole lot is compliments from my kind neighbour! I told her I sowed many different seeds and none came up so she sowed some chye sim for me! How kind of her! Hope the slugs and snails will spare them!
Cucumbers
Learned from the green culture group that one of the reasons why cucumbers do not grow proportionately is because it was not pollinated enough! See, 2 of the cucumbers are indeed like these and it is kind of common in my garden!
So in order to overcome the problem, it is best to hand pollinate a few times until the female flower dried up! So I have been doing this to my female flower yesterday and today! I sure hope it will be successful.

Fig Stem Cuttings
Bought 2 stem cuttings (taken from a tree that has borned fruit before!) for $10 from a member of the Green Culture group! She told me that those figs grown from seed might a sterile!! Yucks! Ok, I have decided to trim off my fig at the plot tomorrow!! Will just see how it grows!
For this cutting, I have been advised to root it first in water and then transfer to soil! I hope to see it root within weeks!! Wish me luck!
Ginger
I found out that ginger likes shade! They do especially well in areas with good amount of shade than under direct sun!

Asparagus Seeds
Bought another pack of Asparagus Seeds! Decided to give it another try. I read in one of the forum that you can buy Asparagus Crown - easier to grow and harvest much earlier too. But since I can't find them here, I decided to buy the seeds again and try! I hope it will sprout!
