Sowed 2 bittergourd seeds 3-4 days ago..! Trying my luck at growing bittergourd again... My last one died on me half way before bearing me any bittergourd! Hope this time will be better! Will grow them next to my unknown melon..!

Chilli Padi - Turning Red

As you can see, some of the leaves are turning yellow!! I think it is due to the lack of sunlight! The lemon basil is over whelming this chilli padi plant so I had to cut back its stems to let this chilli padi get some precious sunlight!

Passiflora L - Bloom

Finally!! One of the buds bloomed this morning... But I think it is futile since it can't fertilise on its own? Though I tried to hand pollinate but I am not hopeful that it will be successful! But still, the bloom is stunning!

Cucumber Seedlings to Plot

Moved 3 of my little cucumber seedlings to the plot with the newly built trellis yesterday..... Hope a few more seedlings will pop up soon so that I can add them to the same plot!

New Trellis!

Built another new trellis in my newest borrowed plot! Super easy with those ready nets! Just need to find more bamboo sticks to give it more support! This is for my cucumbers (the normal ones)! I think this plot will be good to grow cucumbers as it has plenty of direct sun - hopefully the soil will not be an issue as I noticed it doesn't drain very well.... we shall see!

Passion Fruit - Flower

Look at the inside of the flower... It is strange as I have never seen a fully blossomed passion flower for this plant... I have seen for my neighbours'....

I think the following 2 which half blossomed yesterday was pollinated... I can see the formation of the passion fruit inside through the openings....

Finally, one of my passion fruit plant that is next to my chiku is finally adapting and growing new shoots!

Mint in Brinjal plot

Yup, decided to try planting mint in my brinjal plot to see if it will help to repel the ants... But I guess it will take a few as the mint needs time to grow into bushes!

My one and only honey passion fruit plant to the plot this morning! This is grown from the seeds of the fruit.. Sowed so many seeds but only 1 pathetic one sprouted!!

Now I have 6 winged beans growing ... Finally, after more than 6 months of waiting perhaps? Patience really pays off!! Very pathetic harvest still but then, it is better than not harvesting any!

Passion Fruit Day 31

Almost 1 month since it blossomed... It is not getting any bigger so now, it is just waiting for it to turn red! Can't wait to eat its juicy pulp!

Ants are infesting my brinjal plants!!! Sprayed enzyme solution everyday but it doesn't seem to help much!!

Lettuce

My 3 little lettuce is almost ready for harvest. Its strange as this lettuce tasted bitter as compared to those in the market. Initially I thought it was because my neigbhour grew hers next to the bitter herbs but apparently, it is not!! No wonder the slugs are leaving them alone!! LOL

My 3rd batch of Kang Kong is doing better than the 2nd lot... lesser white flies for sure...

Passifloral Laurifolia

Finally, after months of waiting, my passifloral laurifolia is once again going to bloom!! Now now now... Shall I do hand pollination with the same species or with another species??? Hmmmm... I really want to see one fruit at least!!!
